Soup and Scripture
Again this Lent we will hold the SOUP AND SCRIPTURE series. This year we will use a guide entitled, “Celebrating the Mass.” The booklet offers texts from scripture that shed light on the mass and encourage us to make connections between those texts and our lives.
We learn to love the Mass more deeply by understanding the history of the Mass, especially its roots in scripture. Celebrating the Mass is a wonderful study for anyone interested in the history of the Mass and why we celebrate the Mass the way we do today.
Sessions will be held in the Rectory Meeting Room beginning the Wednesday after Ash Wednesday (March 12) and for the next 5 Wednesdays. Each session will be preceded by a soup and bread supper at 6:25 pm. (no desserts, please). We can accept a maximum of 30 participants. Please call the rectory at 366-1750 no later than February 24 so that we can order the guide books. Cost per participant is $8.
