SEAS Parish News
Administrator’s Corner
We are continuing our Easter journey. Today we celebrate the fourth Sunday of Gospel. The theme is “The Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd” He is because he loves us and gave His life for our eternal salvation. He is also the Shepherd continuing to guide us to eternal life through our Pope, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, and lay ministry to us.
Jesus continues His healing ministry in the Church today. The sacraments called “Anointing of the Sick” are used for healing. We also celebrate healing Masses throughout the Diocese of Buffalo. I will be celebrating a healing Mass on Wednesday April 25th 7 p.m.at Pope John XXIII parish community. This is located on Harlem Rd. near Clinton St. in Cheektowaga. All are welcome to experience the healing power of the Lord Jesus.
In this day and age, especially in times of so much turmoil, it is very important for children to receive their proper Religious formation. Children who were baptized need an ongoing program of formation into Jesus Christ. This is done through our Catholic school, NCCS, or through our Religious Education program on Sundays. Most of all we need to attend weekly Saturday night or Sunday morning Masses, to know Jesus Christ is to love Him. To Love Him means to be able to serve Him in others.
