Men’s Conference this Saturday
The talk this Saturday by Fr. Peter Santandreu, “Hope for the Future” is most appropriate in light of the turbulent times buffeting the church and the uncertainty, cynicism and strife so widespread in our world. The conference for men will be held at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The talks start at 9 a.m. and will conclude with lunch at noon. To pre-register, call Frank Valone at 366-5299.
Revision of Hours for Adoration
We no longer have sufficient volunteers to pray before the Blessed Sacrament both mornings and afternoons on Tuesdays and first Fridays. Therefore the all day schedule will be reduced effective December 2019. After December 2019, Eucharistic Adoration will take place from after the morning mass i.e. 7:30 a.m. until noon. Normally Benediction will conclude Adoration at noon.
Advent Opportunity at SEAS
On Tuesday evening, December 3rd at 7 p.m., Carol Mullins of Quiet Whispers Ministry will present an evening of musical meditations on the Advent Scriptures. The event will be held in St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Carol is an inspirational speaker, pastoral minister at St. John Paul II parish in Lakeview, Scripture story teller and retreat facilitator. Her musical meditations are drawn from the Bible and her life experiences. She has produced several CD’s including one entitled “Before Time” and recently “Pillar of Stone.”
This special evening, sponsored by SEAS Faith Formation Committee, is a wonderful way to begin your Advent journey toward Christmas. An informal social will follow in the Mother’s Room near the side entrance.
