Extra Donations Needed
By now the roofing job at the rear portion of the church is basically completed. As mentioned previously, we expected a bill for the roofing work. However as often happens, there were other unanticipated expenses associated with this work. Cope Builders had to replace a badly rotted beam and some roofing deck boards damaged by persistent leaks near the passageway leading to the rectory. In addition, two roof drains had to be relocated by Casale Plumbing. This unanticipated work was accomplished on a time and material basis. We do not yet have the bills, but they will be considerable. A number of families have already made donations for this purpose. As of last week we had received a total of 8 donations totaling $1,650.00 to help defray these extra costs. Thank you for responding to this need. Additional donations are needed and greatly appreciated.
All Souls Day Nov. 2nd
November 2nd is the day on which the Church traditionally prays for the dead. On that Saturday Evening we will pray a special prayer service (not a mass) at 7pm for all the deceased, especially those for whom we celebrated a funeral or burial service during the past year. A letter has been sent to our bereaved families inviting them to participate in the prayer service. During the service, the names of the recently deceased will be read aloud and the crosses at the back of the church will be entrusted to each bereaved family. Although the prayer service is designed primarily for families of the recently bereaved, anyone may attend to pray for the deceased of their family or to support those who lost a loved one during the past year.

Change in Office Schedule eff. Jan. 1, 2020
Beginning with the New Year, our parish office will not be open for normal business on Wednesdays, (instead of Thursdays as at present). This change will give Erin more uninterrupted time for demanding bookkeeping tasks.
