Sunday Social Today
Sunday Social Today
This Sunday May 26th, the Summer Socials begin again. We invite you to enjoy the presence of your fellow parishioners and friends, new and old, over coffee or cold drink and pastries. The first of the summer socials will be held on the parking lot side of the church.
Mass in Church this Memorial Day
Due to continuing wet conditions in the parish cemetery, the Memorial Day Mass will not be celebrated outdoors. Instead the mass will take place in the church at 9 am. As usual we will pray for all buried in our cemetery and especially those who served this nation, even to the point of giving over their lives.
Ascension Holy Day
On Thursday May 30th we will celebrate the Ascension of the Lord into heaven. We follow the normal holyday schedule. Masses will be on Wednesday at 7 p.m., and Thursday at 7 a.m.; noon and 1:30pm (NCCS).
Catholic Charities Progress Report
At present our parish has contributed $21,574.00. Have you had your opportunity yet to make your donation toward this very important drive? There is still time to send your gift to the rectory or to send it directly to the appeal office at 741 Delaware Ave. Buffalo, NY 14209 You can also contribute or pledge online at www.ccwny.org. The drive will conclude on June 30th.
Summer Bible Camp
Our local parishes will again cooperate in a Bible Camp from August 5-9th, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The theme this year is Roar! Join in the fun of an African safari theme. This day camp experience will take place at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School for children ages 4-10. We will need volunteer Station Helpers, Jr. Crew Leaders (ages 11+), and Adult Crew Leaders. Volunteers need not be available for the whole week. If you can only help one day, please consider joining us anyway. Campers sign up at https://vnspro.events.event_sessions/35201/show . Contact Denise Kropp for any questions d.e.kropp@gmail.com. A $15 registration fee per child can be paid either on-line at www.seasdunkirkny.org (click on ‘give online’) or by checks payable to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Registration and volunteer forms are available at the parish office and are due no later than July 29th, but early registration is appreciated! Bible Camp offers kids the chance to discover evidence of God in everyday life and to experience overcoming challenges with God’s mighty power. Remember that volunteers of all ages are needed to lead crafts, games, songs and serve snacks.
