SEAS Parish News
Congratulations Fr. Walter Werbicki
Father Walter Werbicki has been with us 25 years on March 19th. He came to us in March 19, 1994, when he began to reside here while serving as prison Chaplain at Lakeside Correctional. He has been a very special priest and friend to our Church Family. He always goes out of his way to help and do whatever is needed. Fr. Walter; Know that we deeply appreciate you and all that you do.
Celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation
This Lent we encourage you to celebrate the Gift of Reconciliation at one of several special opportunities for confessions. You may choose to stay for confession after the 11 a.m. mass on the Sundays of Lent. On Thurs., April 4, a confessor will be available in the church at 4 p.m. Finally on Monday of Holy Week at 7 pm, there will be a regional penance service with several area priests at Holy Trinity Church.
What Your Gift Can Mean
Jah-Keem fell in with the wrong crowd when he was just 9. By age 10 he was working as a mule carrying drugs. Despite his mother’s efforts he stayed on that path. They moved to a new neighborhood, but he still fell behind academically and dropped out of school until a cousin suggested Catholic Charities. He was linked up to Workforce and Education Services of Catholic Charities leading to a GED and self-respect. Today he is working a full-time job.
Will you help other youth like him find hope? Donate to the 2019 Catholic Charities Drive or call 716-218-1400.
