According to custom, there will be a procession accompanied by the singing of “Las Mañanitas,” the traditional serenade song used on the occasion of a feast day or birthday. Due to a scheduling conflict, there will not be a dinner served in the school hall this year.

Christmas Basket Project
Applying for a Christmas Basket
Beginning Monday, .November 26th thru Monday, December 10th, project organizers will accept applications for Christmas baskets. To apply for a Christmas basket, you must call and leave a message on the basket hotline (363-6080). Speak slowly and clearly your first and last name and your phone number. Someone will return your call as soon as possible. This could take several days due to the volume of requests. This is the only number to call. Please do not call other numbers or leave multiple messages.
Volunteers Needed
Christmas Baskets for the needy will be assembled and distributed on December 14–16th, 2018. Volunteers are needed:
Fri., Dec. 14th, (6 p.m.) – Help needed at NCCS to set up tables and boxes. Food and gifts are brought up from the basement and sorted.
Sat., Dec. 15th, (8:45a.m.) – Volunteers select gifts at the school or purchase them at Big Lots. When finished, volunteers wrap and place them in boxes for families. While some shop, others will put the food into boxes for each family.
Sun., Dec. 16th, (9:00a.m.) – Volunteers meet at NCCS to finalize food boxes and distribute and deliver the Christmas Baskets. Most families pick up baskets at the school, but some must be delivered. Since the boxes are full, heavy lifting is required.
