It’s Pentecost!
The Church was born some Two thousand years ago. After receiving the Holy Spirit the Apostles, especially in the leadership of St. Peter preacher of good news, Jesus Christ has died and risen Believe in Him and be save from sin and eternal death. Be baptized and receive the new life of Jesus Christ.
We congratulate the people who will be confirmed this Sunday at the 2:30 Mass. Msgr. David Gallivan will be celebrant and the one to confirm these candidates. All of them are now fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church. They are full members of the Church. So we say ‘Alleluia”
Memorial Day this year will be on Monday May 28th, 2018 there will be a special Mass in remembrance of our loved ones at our cemetery, located on route 60 north side of William Street, near the cemetery garage. Please remember to bring a chair for this mass. We also remember in a special way all of our armed forces who gave their lives for our county. Forever we are grateful to them for their service to our country. By extension we are grateful for all the living who gave their selves for our freedom.
Memorial Day Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery
Memorial Day Service outside Mass will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery May 28th at 9 a.m. On that occasion we will pray for all buried at the cemetery and especially those who served this nation, even to the point of giving their lives. Please bring your lawn chairs. If the weather does not cooperate, the mass will be held in the church.
