ADMINISTRATOR’S CORNER
Today we celebrate the Seventh Sunday of Easter. The theme is” That they may be one just as we are one” Jesus speaks of the necessity of being one. The Apostles were anything but unified before the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. After the Resurrection they became unified. It was their being one which caused the Church to be so successful in being established.
This week we prepare for the coming of the Holy Spirit. It will be Pentecost Sunday. We recall the Holy Spirit coming upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Next week on Pentecost Sunday we will be confirming eight youngsters. The main celebrant will be Msgr. Davis Gallivan who is very fluent in Spanish. The mass will be Sunday May 20th at 2:30 p.m.
On this Sunday May 13th we will celebrate Mother’s Day. What a tremendous gift God has given to us in motherhood. We are not able to thank our Mother’s enough for all they do for us. Yet the greatest Mother of all is the Mother of God- The Blessed Virgin Mary. She is not only the Mother of our Lord and Saviors Jesus Christ but our Mother as well. She always is interceding on our behalf to the throne of God. May the good God bless all mothers for who they are and what they do.
Happy Mother’s Day
