Administrator’s Corner
We celebrate today the sixth Sunday of Easter. The theme for this Sunday is “Love one another as I love you.” In any organization there are regulations. This is so that there can be order and the organization can run rather smoothly. Jesus has only one rule: “Love one another as I love you”
This coming Thursday we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension Thursday. The date is May 10th. We recall Jesus ascending into heaven forty days after the Resurrection to Heaven. He would sit at the right hand of God the Father where He lives and reigns forever. It is a holy day of obligation. We begin celebrating this Feast on Wednesday evening May 9th at 7 p.m. Thursday 7 a.m., 8:30 a.m., and 12 noon.
It is always challenging for the parish to live the commandments of Jesus to love one another. There are different personalities and different ideas in how to deal with parish issues. Yet by the power of the Holy Spirit we need to work together. This is why parishes have committees on various topics to receive different ideas. We work through them to come to a consensus. Then we need to accept the decision made for the wellbeing of the parish.
