SEAS From the Pastor and News
From the Pastor
You should have already received a letter from me concerning the Catholic Charities Drive. The letter speaks for itself. The Catholic Charities Drive deserves your full support. It is not just another collection for it represents the outreach of the local church to so many who depend on the excellent services provided through the drive. Last week a bulletin insert about the drive was entitled, “Look what you’ve done!” It’s true. These good works are only possible through your generosity.
Love Your Neighbor – Appeal 2018
Meet Rachaele and her mom, who underwent Catholic Charities’ Multisystemic Therapy Program, and then get to know Mark as he shares his story of how Project HOPE (Helping Older People Excel) has positively impacted his life.
Lenten Confession Opportunities
For your convenience, there will be a special opportunity for Confession each Lenten Sunday from 1 pm to 1:30 pm. Of course the regular Saturday time (4 pm to 4:30 pm) is still scheduled. The Risen Lord continues to heal and forgive sins through His Church. “Take Courage, he is calling you.” Mk, 10:49
Online Giving Changes
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will undergo a transition from our current online giving program with WeShare to a new program called “GIVE+ Electronic Giving Options” through Vanco Payment Solutions. This change to the GIVE+ program will offer more convenient ways to give electronically while allowing the parish to retain a larger percent of the donations, due to lower transaction fees.
Additional ways to give electronically will now include “Give+ Mobile“, which allows you to use your mobile phone and a FREE downloadable Smartphone App: and “Give+ Swipe“, the ability to now accepts debit or credit card transactions in the Rectory office. Another option also available to us is “Give+ Text“. It’s fast, effortless giving through text messages with no login or account set-up required.
Just as the WeShare program allows anyone to go online to our webpage and click the WeShare link to make a one time or set up a recurring donation, the new “Give+ Church” link you will find on our webpage works the same way as the old program which will be discontinued as of March 31, 2018.
Therefore to allow for a smooth transition, both the new Give+ Church links and the current WeShare links will be available to use for the time being. This will allow current WeShare users to take the necessary steps to stop your recurring transactions through WeShare and set up your new online giving account with Give+.
Dan Hillman is available to assist you with this transition by calling the Rectory during regular office hours. More information regarding Mobile and Text giving will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if anyone would like more information or has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dan at the Rectory 366-1750, option #5.
