SEAS 2016 Christmas Basket Project
With Christmas fast approaching the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church is beginning to prepare for its annual Christmas Basket Project. Each year the church provides food and gifts for up to 150 needy families from the area.
Last year’s project was able to assist approximately 650 adults and children from the area.
The organizers rely on the generous contributions of the community to support this tremendous endeavor. Approximately $10,000 needs to be raised for the project.
Over the next few weeks the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Basket Project is collecting money, gifts and food. Food items include non-perishables, as well as hams and turkeys. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
The only number for requesting a Christmas basket is 363-6080. You may call between November 28th and December 12th. This is the only number that can be used. When you call this hotline number, leave your first and last names and phone number. Speak slowly, clearly and be patient. Someone will return your call as soon as possible, but this might take a few days.
Note that Volunteers are needed to assist on the weekend of Dec. 16, 17,18th for assembling Christmas Baskets. For more information, please contact Carol Smith, Project Coordinator at 410-0504. (Do not call this number to request a basket.)
This Weekend the Empty Crèche Collection at all Masses is hats, scarves, mittens, gloves for the Christmas Basket Project.
