Rosary for Peace and Movie Night at SEAS
Rosary for Peace
We invite you to join us this Thursday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m. for a rosary and litany here in the church. The intention will be ‘Peace in the Middle East and Our World’. Invite your friends and family. Our young people need to be exposed to the powerful prayer of the rosary.
All over the world those that follow Christ are being persecuted. Especially in the Middle East where Christians are giving up homes, businesses, country and their lives for His sake.
Here at home “Christian” is becoming a non-welcome word. More than ever we need to pray for peace in our streets and cities, for those who fight to be faithful and that all will be restored in Christ. This evening prayer service is held each third Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Movie Night
In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, the Adult Formation Committee will sponsor the film “The 13th Day.” The film will be shown in the Parish Meeting Room, below the rectory, on Friday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m. It is based on the memoirs of the visionary Sister Lucy and dramatizes the story of the three young shepherds who experienced six apparitions of Our Lady culminating in the final prophesied miracle of the sun. Steven Greydanus of the National Catholic Register states that “this is the best movies ever on Fatima.”
