Parish Youth Learn to Serve
An important focus of this year’s Religious Education Program is faith in action. Our students are not only learning what the Church teaches, but experiencing, hands-on, the call to service. At the end of each month the classes gather with their catechists into four age-appropriate groups in order to brainstorm ways that they can be of service.
To name a few: visits and refreshments at St. Vincent’s Home, Joy Kits for St. Vincent’s, standing at our church doors to greet and assist mass-goers, and providing gloves, hats and canned goods for the Christmas Basket Project. Future projects include Valentine Cards to our nursing Homes and “Love Notes from God” to participants of Meals on Wheels.
If you wish to learn more about these groups, you may come and visit anytime. You will find the Religious Education schedule on the parish website.
