So Many Crosses; Such a Waste
Visitors to the Military Cemeteries in Europe invariably remark about the vast loss resulting from the battles of World War II. The effect of seeing so many graves, each represented by a white cross, never fails to evoke deep sadness at the scope of the human tragedy.
As you look out over the front lawn of the rectory from May 9th to May 19th, you will see many white crosses. Each one represents about 144 children’s lives taken by abortion in this nation in a single hour alone. The enormity of this tragedy is staggering. May it move us to take steps toward eliminating this abortion from our community and nation.
