Lenten Soup and Scripture
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus urged his listeners to live in a way that fosters justice, peace, harmony, and well-being within and among people. Matthew 5-7: How to Be Happy helps us apply the message of the Sermon on the Mount to our own lives today and find true joy in our walk of faith.
Don’t miss Soup and Scripture this Lent. The guided reflections will be held each Wednesday of Lent (except Ash Wednesday) in the meeting room below the rectory. The soup and bread supper starts at 6:30 p.m. and the Scripture Session at 7 p.m. Participants read a chapter of a simple guide book before each session. This year, the guide is called Matthew 5-7; How to be Happy. It is from the Six Weeks with the Bible series by Kevin Perrotta. The guidebooks will be furnished, but we ask that each participant pay the $8 cost at the first class. Please call the rectory to indicate your participation so that we can order the guidebooks for all participants.
Sessions will be held on Wednesday March 13th, 20th, 27th, April 3rd, 10th, and 17th. Please join us!
