From the Pastor
We have just celebrated Christmas and tomorrow we begin a new year. I thank all who worked so hard in the weeks and days leading up to Christmas. In particular; three groups stand out:
-Those who planned, decorated, sang, participated, cleaned or in any way gave your best for the celebration of Christ’s Birth. Your dedicated work shows!
-Those who organized, assembled, sorted, wrapped and distributed so many groceries and for the Christmas Basket Project. You did an amazing job again this year.
-The staff who work each week for the Parish Food Pantry.
In the name of the parish you fulfill the command of Christ. “Love one another as I have loved you.” Together you accomplished the work of the parish and made us all proud. Thank you so very much!
Heartfelt Thanks
We would like to thank you for the many Christmas wishes, prayers and the gifts. God’s biggest gift to us is this parish and all the faithful and prayerful parishioners, we wish you all a Happy, Healthy New Year. God’s blessings.
Yours in Christ – Fr. Walter and Fr. Dennis
Celebration of Three Kings
Next Sunday the Church will celebrate the Epiphany (Manifestation) of the Savior to the world outside of Judaism. The Hispanic Community names this day “Tres Reyes” or Three Kings. This is the traditional major feast of the Christmas Season in Latino countries. Our local community will celebrate with a potluck dinner in the parish hall following the Spanish Mass. All young children present will receive a gift from “the 3 Kings.”
