From the Pastor
First Communion Class
Last Sunday we welcomed 9 third graders to the Lord’s Table for the first time. They were prepared for this sacrament by catechist, Donna Banach who helped them to know Jesus as the Bread of Life and faithful friend. We are also grateful to Natalie Hoebener, our parish catechetical coordinator who worked with them. With support and example from their families, they will continue to come regularly to the Lord’s Table to receive the bread from heaven. In addition to these children, two other groups of young people will soon receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time. This includes 6 high school youth and 8 young adults. May God who began the good work in them bring it to fulfillment.
Memorial Day Mass
Plan on attending the annual Cemetery Mass on Memorial Day at 9 a.m. Remember to bring your own lawn chair. We remember the deceased veterans of our Armed Forces. Your attendance is a way of keeping faith with those who served and at times gave their lives in defense of this nation.
If the weather is rainy or very windy, we will move to the Church.
