The fifty days of Easter are filled with signs of the Presence of the Risen Christ. Among them are several groups who have or will receive the Sacraments. The members of our 11th grade faith formation program were confirmed last week. I am grateful to Wendy Kachermeyer, parish coordinator of Faith Formation and to Rosemary Olow who taught the group.

Next Sunday, 22 young parishioners from Northern Chautauqua Catholic School and the parish faith formation program will receive the Lord in the Eucharist for the first time. Thanks especially to Donna Banach who worked with them this year.

Finally, Amy Reed formally became a member of the Catholic Church this past Sunday through a profession of faith and the reception of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. I appreciate the dedication of Wendy Kachermeyer, and the Catechumenate team who worked with her to prepare Amy.
