From the Pastor
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. Since that week is the source of all Christian life, I encourage you to make a decision now to live it to the full. Try to pen the celebrations of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Holy Saturday Vigil into your family calendar. If you enter fully into the spirit of these celebrations, you will be well prepared for the newness of life that Christ promised to all who followed Him.
A great way to begin this special time of grace is through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Note the various opportunities for confessions listed in our Lenten Schedule.
Have you made your donation to the 2014 Catholic Charities campaign? Remember that we want to reach the goal by Palm Sunday. Please do your best to make your donation or at least a pledge by next Sunday. Your gift is an excellent Lenten sacrifice that will help others at time of need. If you did not receive a letter in the mail or lost the card sent you, simply use a plain envelope marked “Catholic Charities” or contact the parish office.
