You are invited to come to the showing of “The Mission” on the Christ the King Seminary campus on Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. “The Mission” is a story about 18th century Spanish Jesuit missionaries who try to protect a remote South American Indian tribe in danger of falling under the rule of pro-slavery Portugal. There is plenty of seating in CKS auditorium.
22nd Annual Lenten Day of Reflection
“Pondering the Scriptures of Holy Week” will be presented by Carolyn Osiek, RSCJ, on Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. at Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. Sister Carolyn is the Archivist for the Society of the Sacred Heart, United States – Canada Province. She is also the Charles Fischer Professor of New Testament Emerita, Brite Divinity School. Little Rock Bible Study
Blessed Mary Angela Parish will host a bible study entitled “Israel’s Story (Part I)” on Thursdays evenings, May 1-June 5 from 7-9 p.m. in St. Hyacinth school workroom. This study explores Old Testament history, theology, and stories, from the creation accounts of Genesis to the fall of the Northern Kingdom (722 B.C.) and its prophets. The 2 hour sessions include discussions, small group prayer, and a 20 minute video commentary, Q&A with a priest and social. Cost is $15 for study book and registration is required by calling 366-2307 by April 8.
