All Saints – All Souls and Events at SEAS
All Saints Holy Day
On November 1st we honor all God’s holy ones who have “….fought the good fight, kept the faith and won the crown of glory.” A few were recently canonized and others, many centuries ago; among them are the well-known and many “little people” whose heroic faith is known only to God. Masses are; Tues at 7 p.m.; Wed. 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. (NCCS); 12 p.m.
All Souls Remembrance
Each November 2nd we pause to remember and to pray for the departed souls of our loved ones. On that day, in addition to the regular morning mass at 7 a.m., there will be a special evening prayer at 7 p.m. At that service, the names of all recently departed will be read aloud and a family member will be presented the cross used at the funeral sometime during the past year.
Men’s Fall Conference
Deacon Bill Hynes was well received here last fall. This year he will again present at the Men’s Fall Conference scheduled for Saturday, November 18th from 9 – 11:15 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. The conference will take place at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School.
The topic is “Comfortable Catholicism: a practical guide to handing on the faith today” To pre-register, call 366-1750. (Pre-registration helps us to plan).
