From the Pastor

Lent will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 22. It is a crucial season for Christians, a time to seek newness of life. On that day we begin our community fast and review of life. In order to maintain the integrity of this important day, we will not distribute ashes at the Shrove Tuesday Service on the preceding evening. All are welcome to the “Shrove Tuesday” Service. It will include Scripture, the burning of last year’s palms and the changing of the liturgical environment to a sparser and more subdued environment. In order to highlight Ash Wednesday, this service will not include the distribution of ashes.
